VITA Intern - Seasonal Position

Nichols College is a dynamic and growing organization, and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented VITA Intern to join our team. As a VITA Intern, you will play a vital role in assisting our paid Site Coordinators to ensure tax clinics meet all program guidelines.

About the Role
The VITA Intern will be responsible for providing oversight to volunteers at the tax clinic, ensuring all returns are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner. This includes preparing state and federal tax returns, maintaining confidentiality when completing returns for participants, and troubleshooting minor technical issues with the software. Additionally, the intern will participate in meetings as required throughout the tax season and demonstrate flexibility in handling day-to-day work challenges and shifting priorities confidently.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in tax preparation, accounting, or finances, or an educational background in accounting, business management, and/or related finance degrees. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $18-$25 per hour, based on industry standards and the level of expertise required. With a part-time seasonal schedule, this role offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in tax preparation while enjoying a flexible work arrangement.
