We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team at NOV in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our customers' equipment on site and carrying out workshop activities for the aftermarket service team.

The ideal candidate will have existing knowledge of mechanical equipment, including pumps and rotating equipment with vacuum and pressure systems. Full training will be provided on all existing product lines.

You will be required to liaise with internal stakeholders and manage your schedule efficiently to maximize productivity and maintain strong customer relations. Your ability to drive continual improvements within our processes, enhancing efficiency and performance within our industrial markets, will be crucial to this role.

This position involves primarily working on our customers' sites in support of our service activities both within the UK and overseas as required. You will also be responsible for providing after-sales services, including inspections, spares, and technical advice.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a recognized apprenticeship in mechanical engineering to C&G, ONC, HNC, and have computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a flexible benefits program available for you and your family, including pension, dental insurance, health insurance, partner life assurance, critical illness, retail vouchers, gym membership, cycle to work, and travel insurance.

Requirements:
  • Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering to C&G, ONC, HNC.
  • Mechanical/electrical knowledge within the installation, commissioning, and maintenance providers.
  • Computer literacy including a good command of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook in order to complete technical service reports or other documentation as required by the service manager/administration teams.
