Crane Mechanic
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Mechanic to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with cranes, mechanical fitting skills, and knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular services, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mobile, tower, and crawler cranes.
- Diagnose faults and implement corrective measures.
- Perform routine checks and scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
- Work with the operations team to coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all safety regulations and company policies are adhered to.
- Participate in continuous training and development.
- Occasional travel to site may be required.
- Qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3 in Plant/Heavy Vehicles Maintenance or equivalent are beneficial.
- Previous experience as a Crane Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar role is required.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is necessary.
- A valid UK driving licence is required.
- A CPCS Card Holder or equivalent is desirable.
- Welding and fabrication skills are desirable.
An estimated salary of £15.40 per hour based on industry standards. A 40-hour working week (Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30) with overtime available. 31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
