Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Imerys Aluminates in West Thurrock. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving electrical and automation equipment and systems for our industrial production site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Site Electrical Duty Holder
- Manage and execute electrical, automation, and instrumentation work, including inspection, auditing, calibration, spare parts, drawings, risk assessments, and reactive and preventive maintenance
- Operate, manage, and maintain Siemens automation systems, including fault finding, programming, and updating
- Manage ECI compliance and statutory activities, including fixed wire testing, HV maintenance, earthing tests, PAT, arc flash testing, etc.
- Work on and manage high-voltage (HV) networks and drives
- Manage ECI projects, including designs, specifications, documentation, contract management, installation, commissioning, spare parts, and training
- Adhere to Health and Safety standards and ensure all ECI tasks are performed in compliance with regulations and company procedures
- Participate in training, development, and appointment of other industrial engineers
- Respond to after-hours consultations and provide technical support during equipment failures
