Senior Financial Analyst

As a Lead Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst at Metro Bank, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success by providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Financial Models: Assist in the creation and maintenance of financial models to support the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Financial Performance Analysis: Analyze financial performance against key metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Strategic Initiative Assessment: Develop financial models to assess the impact of various strategic initiatives, market conditions, and other factors on the bank's financial performance.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, identifying and mitigating financial risks to ensure the robustness of financial controls.
- Investment and Transaction Appraisal: Understand investment and transaction appraisal approaches, including NPV, payback, and dependencies.
- Process Improvement: Identify ways to enhance FP&A processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in financial planning and analysis activities.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial concepts, including financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, as well as experience managing large data sets.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of banking, expense management, and accounting standards.
- Professional Qualifications: Ideally, working towards a professional accountant qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
