About the Role:
Avantor is seeking a skilled Delivery Specialist to join our team in Macclesfield, UK. As a key member of our GMP-focused team, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the GMP warehouse, shipping, and sample dispatch service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, locate, and store materials in line with documented procedures into the relevant Inventory Management systems.
- Sample and dispense Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) meeting customer requirements and following SHE procedures.
- Provide a high level of customer service, actively engaging with the science community to understand their business requirements.
- Adhere to the GMP at all times.
Requirements:
- GCSE or equivalent secondary school qualification.
- 1+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service in a logistics environment.
- Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
- Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG, and OSHA Right to Know is desirable.
- High regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Good IT skills required (including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook).
