Job Details

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is a leading provider of digital solutions, and we are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automated tests to support the ongoing development of products and projects
• Collaborate with developers to influence the design of testable code and platform engineers to integrate tests into Continuous Delivery pipelines
• Analyze test requirements, design and produce reusable test scripts, and specify requirements for environments, data, and test tools
• Overcome development obstacles to deliver quality testing on time
• Review test artefacts produced by peers and review test results to modify the test suite as necessary
• Define and create test cases from the analysis of non-functional specifications
• Design and execute functional and performance test scripts, and security tests
• Analyze requirements for test automation, design, and implement the technical solution regardless of approach
• Review and assure the scope and execution of Unit Tests and Integration Tests performed by Software Engineers
• Work closely with other Engineers to describe how their work will be, or has been, tested such that the Software Engineers gains insight into the tester's interpretation of the requirements

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrable knowledge of Agile software development
• Demonstrable knowledge of at least one automated test tool

Other Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Use of collaboration tools (Atlassian Suite, Git etc)
• Familiarity with BDD and TDD tools
• Awareness of accessibility standards
