Salary

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £11.44 per hour, based on experience, with opportunities for overtime. The basic hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday, with lunch from 1:00-1:30pm.

Job Description

As an Engineering Production Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with or completing the construction, production, and assembly of company products using a variety of hand tools or power tools. You will comply with clients' defined safe practices and methods at all times.

You will also fabricate and assemble sub-assemblies with sufficient lead time to enable others to complete products as scheduled. Your duties will include liaising with the Workshop Manager to implement work schedules, ensuring a high standard of quality production, and reporting any problems or potential problems to the Workshop Manager.

You will be required to train to carry out the maximum range of tasks within the workshop department and comply with all aspects of clients' Health and Safety procedures at all times. You will also ensure that all defined personal protection equipment is utilised within the workshop or for the safe use of hand-held tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a good engineering aptitude and a practical nature and work ethic. A good understanding of working from technical drawings is a distinct advantage.
