Capital Aggregation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Aggregation Manager to join our Group Actuarial function. This role will focus on aggregating the Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR) for both L&G Group and LGAS (Legal & General Assurance Society).
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Solvency Estimate Process: Perform checks on the solvency estimate to identify and carry out development work as required to improve the process and ensure stakeholder needs are met.
- Aggregate SCR: Prepare Analysis of Change to support validation and provide business insights, and validate and explain changes in the diversification benefit achieved by L&G Group over time.
- Manage Correlations Matrix: Monitor the appropriateness of the methodology used in calibrations and coordinate and consolidate submissions across business units.
- Support Regulatory Exercises: Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure quality and timely submissions are made to regulators.
- Contribute to Team Direction: Use creative thinking to generate ideas to improve results and processes, and make professional judgements relevant to complex and developing actuarial matters.
- Establish Relationships: Represent the department appropriately and recognize the impact and react accordingly to any relevant change that could impact on own team and departmental processes.
- Qualified Life Actuary: A detailed understanding of SII Principles and how they apply in practice.
- Actuarial Liability Reporting: Knowledge of actuarial liability reporting and analysis across various metrics and the ability to identify likely relative movements across these metrics.
- Financial and Insurance Risk Management: A detailed understanding of financial and insurance risk management, including a deep practical and technical knowledge of the drivers of risk capital.
- Problem Solving Skills: Ability to apply fresh and creative thinking and to develop new strategies.
- Pragmatic Approach: Ability to make sound judgements and appropriate decisions with limited information.
- Resourcefulness: Ability to be resourceful in resolving the challenges of producing results on time and to the required quality.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate results in a clear and compelling manner to a range of stakeholders and tailoring this information to meet the needs of the required audience.
