Job Overview

Jensen Hughes is a leading fire consultancy in Europe, with a strong presence in the UK and Ireland. As a Fire Suppression Systems Design Specialist, you will be an integral part of our dynamic technical team, working on industry-leading projects.

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of fire suppression disciplines on site, including inspections of fire protection systems and fixed extinguishing/sprinkler systems.
  • Production of fire suppression system design documents, such as drawings and hydraulic calculations, for various types of buildings, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
  • Focusing on fire safety and protection for diverse building types, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, retail complexes, and more.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
  • LPCB qualifications/BAFSA trainings would be advantageous.
  • Experience in code consulting and design of fire suppression systems, preferably in a project design environment.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
  • Strong experience designing fire suppression systems.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software, such as hydraulic calculation software, AutoCAD, Revit, and SprinkCAD.
  • Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies, along with good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, enjoying professional challenges and contributing to the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.
