We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the London Bridge Hospital, a leading cancer care center in Central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the aseptic unit, working closely with pharmacists, technicians, and assistants to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a busy aseptic unit, managing workflow and ensuring the timely preparation of parenteral cytotoxic chemotherapy for inpatients and outpatients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing a comprehensive pharmacy service that meets the needs of all service users within the London Bridge Hospital Campus.
  2. Working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure the smooth running of the aseptic unit and all staff currently working within the unit.
  3. Ensuring all chemotherapy is prepared in a timely manner and delivering a high standard of care for our oncology service.
  4. Aiding in the set-up of new medicines that have come on the market for manufacturing, environmental monitoring in line with QA and QC regulations.
  5. Providing training and development opportunities for rotational technicians.

The successful candidate will be a registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have a NVQ level 3 in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent.
