The Community Vaccination Service is seeking an experienced Nurse to deliver the school age vaccination programme and support the Covid vaccination delivery to housebound patients and care homes.
Vaccinations are the safest and most effective way of protecting individuals and communities from vaccine preventable diseases.
As a member of the Community Vaccination Service team, you will work alongside other healthcare professionals to promote the importance of vaccines and protect this age group.
The role will involve administering vaccines in schools, community clinics, care homes, and patient homes, as well as collecting vaccines and equipment from vaccine bases.
You will also be required to provide expert knowledge to service users and engage with the community to promote the vaccination programme.
Main Duties
Administering vaccines in schools, at community clinics, in care homes, and in patient homes.
Collecting vaccines and equipment from vaccine bases.
Triage of consent forms.
Providing expert knowledge to service users.
Community engagement.
The post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and will be based in Dorset, with a base at Kings Park Hospital, Bournemouth.
