About the Role:

We are seeking an Academic Mentor to join our team at LSA SEN Outstanding School in Bridgwater. As an Academic Mentor, you will work closely with students aged 5-18 who require additional support due to trauma, autism, or learning disabilities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement effective learning strategies to promote student progress and achievement
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure seamless support and communication
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements
  • Attend regular meetings with parents and teachers to discuss student progress

Requirements:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Math
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
