The remuneration for this role is £43,000 - £55,000 + 20% bonus. This attractive salary reflects the company's commitment to rewarding top talent in the field.
Job Description
This key account manager position involves working closely with rail contractors, main contractors, network rail, and sub-contractors to develop and maintain strong relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience selling high-quality composite products to the rail industry, specifically GRP station platforms and trackside walkways. As a result, you will be responsible for managing existing client relationships, meeting turnover targets, and leveraging CRM software to drive growth. You will also work on developing new business opportunities across the South East region, with potential for further expansion.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have extensive sales experience in the rail industry, including a proven track record of selling to related routes-to-market via rail contractors, main contractors, and sub-contractors. Ideally, you should have prior experience selling GRP products, although this is not essential. Additionally, you should possess excellent project management skills, be able to think creatively, and have a technical understanding of designing solutions to meet clients' needs. A career background as a Senior Sales Executive or Business Development Manager in the rail industry would be highly beneficial for this position.
