Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Gap Technical Ltd. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for executing mechanical activities on-site, performing planned maintenance tasks, and diagnosing breakdown faults. If you have a strong background in mechanical engineering and are able to work independently, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

* Execute mechanical activities on-site as directed by the engineering manager
* Perform all planned maintenance tasks, change overs, and additional work as required
* Diagnose breakdown faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process systems
* Ensure equipment, materials, and tools are available for work execution
* Report resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework, or deferred maintenance as required
* Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform basic root cause analysis and development of solutions
* Provide technical support for machine breakdowns and changeovers

Requirements:

* Apprentice trained to ONC / HNC / C&G Level 3
* Ability to read hydraulics / pneumatics circuits
* Read and produce mechanical drawings
* Experience with PPM on mechanical equipment
* TPM / 6S / Continuous Improvement / Lean experience
* Electrical and mechanical ability essential
* Complex problem-solving and fault-finding experience
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work and learn independently
