About the Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team focused on projects in the Liverpool area, reporting to the Project Manager for the Major Projects business.
This position is ideal for an adaptable, methodical, and tenacious individual who can utilize their technical and project management skills in a new career.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Prysmian Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) or review subcontractor documents.
- Organize Lift Plan for lifts being undertaken by Prysmian or review subcontractor documents.
- Undertake daily risk assessments.
- Issue permits to Prysmian or subcontractor operatives for high-risk activities.
- Undertake regular Sensible Monitoring.
- Witness all operations, inspections, or tests required by the ITP, confirm it is being undertaken in line with the procedure and criteria stated, and ensure a copy of the required record is taken.
- Where required, formally invite the client to the witness location using an Inspection Notification form.
- Complete a Non-Conformance Report for all non-conformance encountered during the course of the work.
- Create and maintain a snagging list, summarizing the outstanding items needing rectifying.
- Before work starts, prepare a report on the condition of the work surrounding area. Ensure reinstatement is done to the standard of what was recorded on the condition report or better than.
- Attend all trial holes undertaken and review associated report.
- Prepare a site diary daily.
- Take photos daily of work (even in the event work is not progressing).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ideally hold previous experience with a construction or energy industry environment, with a sound understanding of construction or civil engineering matters.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients.
- Educated to a HND or degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, however not essential.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Ability to work unsupervised and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- A driving license is essential.
