Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Marine, Engineering & Specialty Claims to join our team in London. As a key member of our claims management team, you will be responsible for the effective management and adjustment of all Marine, Engineering, and Specialty claims, ensuring a quality claims service that meets the highest standards of efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and adjust all Marine, Engineering, and Specialty claims, ensuring prompt and fair settlements, and effective reserve setting.
- Participate in regular leadership and underwriting meetings, providing feedback on policy wordings and market losses.
- Represent the company in claims meetings and discussions, both in the UK and worldwide, as required.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, brokers, and other industry professionals.
Requirements
- Sound business knowledge and understanding of insurance practice, generic legal principles, FCA rules and regulations, and Lloyd's regulations.
- Proven experience in claims management, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality claims services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
