Wine Manager Job Description

We are seeking a visionary Wine Manager to lead our dynamic wine program at an elite West London venue. This role is ideal for an individual who can elevate our wine offerings and impart their knowledge and passion to our dedicated team.

The Wine Manager will curate a distinguished wine list featuring a blend of iconic producers and emerging talent from around the world. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and refine the wine programs across our portfolio of esteemed venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curate a distinguished wine list featuring a blend of iconic producers and emerging talent from around the world.
  • Elevate our wine offerings and impart their knowledge and passion to our dedicated team.
  • Shape and refine the wine programs across our portfolio of esteemed venues.
  • Develop and implement wine service strategies to enhance the guest experience.
  • Lead and mentor a front-of-house team in wine service, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional service standards.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement business strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, ensuring our wine program remains competitive and innovative.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and training in classic and contemporary wines.
  • Deep understanding of London's vibrant wine scene and current industry trends.
  • Passion for providing impeccable hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in mentoring and developing a front-of-house team in wine service.
  • Business Savvy: Strong financial acumen, a proven track record of meeting targets, and a strategic mindset.
  • Credentials: WSET Level 3 or equivalent certification is essential.
