About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audit and Accounts Senior to join our team in Reading. As a key member of our audit and accounts team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, delivering comprehensive audit and accounts services, and leading audits from planning through to completion.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders, and will be responsible for preparing statutory and management accounts, reviewing and mentoring junior staff, and building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver comprehensive audit and accounts services
  • Lead audits from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with audit standards
  • Prepare statutory and management accounts for a diverse range of clients
  • Review and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for their audit and accounting needs
  • Support partners and senior management with special projects and business advisory work

Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified, with substantial experience in audit and accounts
  • Strong technical expertise in audit and financial reporting, with experience leading audit engagements
  • Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
  • A team player who can mentor junior staff and contribute to the success of the audit and accounts team
  • Ambitious and career-driven, with a desire to grow within a forward-thinking firm
