Main Responsibilities- Integrate environmental health and community safety into one service, including the Community Wardens, and drive innovation to take this further.
- Lead a team to effectively contribute to the Safe element of the service, managing responsibilities regarding environmental health and community safety.
- Liaise and work with partners and other organizations to maintain and enhance environmental health and community safety, particularly in relation to relevant strategies, policies, and activities.
- Demonstrate commitment and leadership within the service to achieve transformational change, encourage and support innovation to deliver high-quality, efficient, and effective services for our citizens.
- Effectively manage the unit's resources, including budget preparation, service plan development, monitoring, and ensuring appropriate actions are taken to control the performance of the unit.
- Be responsible for ensuring robust and appropriate corporate health and safety arrangements.
