Job Title
We are seeking an experienced Senior Media Officer to join our team at The Wildlife Trusts. As a key member of our communications department, you will play a vital role in promoting our mission and values through effective media engagement.

About the Role
This full-time position (35 hours per week) is based in Newark (Nottinghamshire), with occasional travel to other parts of the UK. You will be responsible for developing and executing media plans, building relationships with key media contacts, and creating engaging content and visual materials. If you have a strong understanding of the UK media landscape and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies to promote The Wildlife Trusts' initiatives and events
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, securing feature articles and interviews
- Collaborate with internal teams to create engaging content and visual materials
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports to stakeholders

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in media relations or a related field
- Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their uses in media relations
