About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team at Thorlabs. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and running CNC machines to produce precision components from various materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and set up CNC machines to produce precision components
  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing departments to support machining activities
  • Ensure quality of products meets manufacturing drawing requirements
  • Ensure machines are running at maximum potential and efficiency
  • Carry out preventative maintenance routines

Requirements:

  • Experience in 5-axis programming with SMED methodologies
  • Experience working with micron level precision
  • Experience with Fanuc / Haas control systems
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Solidworks and MasterCAM)
