Job Overview

The Transport Planner role at GXO Logistics Supply Chain Inc. is a challenging opportunity for individuals looking to grow and develop their skills in transportation planning. As a key member of our national planning centre, you will ensure the safe delivery of B&Q products throughout the UK. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient resource allocation, this position requires exceptional communication skills and a good geographical knowledge of the UK.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position with an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, typically Sunday to Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with flexibility to adapt to varying shifts. The successful candidate will be paid up to £32,000 per annum, receiving 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and benefits including flexible dental insurance plans, a company-sponsored pension scheme, and access to our MyBenefits platform offering high street discounts and more. Responsibilities
  • Plan efficient daily routes throughout the UK, ensuring effective use of resources while minimizing empty running.
  • Ensure all plans comply with legal requirements for drivers' hours and the working time directive.
  • Proactively sub-contract work while maintaining the required profit margin.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure planned output is achievable and meets customer budgets and service agreements.
