Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Secretary to join our Orthopaedics department at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to our Consultant(s) and their team(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high level of administrative support to the Consultant(s) and their team(s), including prioritizing and scheduling workload to ensure compliance with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Scottish Government targets.
  • Assist in organizing and prioritizing the Consultant(s) administrative workload to aid effective forward planning, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Take ownership of your post, ensuring that you are aware of your level of responsibility and actions.
  • Undertake all statutory/mandatory training and develop your training as required by your own objectives and those of the service.
Requirements

Experience with NHS systems, including Trak and Clinical Portal, is essential. Waiting list experience is desirable.
