Job Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Home-Based Building Inspector to join our team at ETS Technical in Kent, East Sussex, or South London. As a key member of our Construction department, you will be responsible for conducting on-site building inspections to ensure compliance with scheme requirements and building regulations.

About the Role

This is a home-based position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own space while still being able to interact regularly with site installers, housebuilders, and architects through site visits and phone/email communication. You will be working closely with our team to provide expert guidance and support to installing companies and their installers, ensuring that all installations meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough on-site building inspections to verify compliance with pre-identified scheme requirements and building regulations.
  • Provide clear, concise technical reports detailing areas of non-compliance and recommend remedial works.
  • Maintain effective communication with site installers, housebuilders, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Attend site meetings and collaborate with local authorities, manufacturers, and other relevant parties to agree upon and implement remedial actions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:
  • A strong background in the Construction industry, with extensive knowledge of building insulation techniques and procedures.
  • At least 5 years' experience in building insulation (EWI, Cavity Wall, and Loft Insulation).
  • Relevant qualifications and membership of trade bodies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a fully expensed company car/car allowance, healthcare cash plan, and contributory pension scheme.
