Job Title: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Fife CAMH Service as a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist.

The successful candidate will have significant experience working with children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems. You will manage an individual caseload, assess and deliver therapeutic interventions on an individual, family, and group basis.

Fife CAMHS is committed to staff development and offers opportunities for continuous professional growth through bespoke training and participation in the NES CAMHS development programme.

This role requires autonomy in hospital and community settings, with support from Allied Health Professionals. The successful candidate will be passionate about children and young people's mental health and possess skills and competencies typically associated with significant experience in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and deliver therapeutic interventions for children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems.
  • Manage an individual caseload and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, young people, families, and other stakeholders.

A key requirement of this role is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
