About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our team at NHS Fife. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective governance and risk management of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for change
  • Develop and implement audit plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and to implement controls to prevent or minimize losses
  • Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the Board, highlighting key findings and recommendations
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on audit procedures and best practices
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in internal auditing, preferably in the public sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours
  • Knowledge of NHS policies, practices, and procedures, and experience of influencing/effecting improvement and/or data analysis
