Deputy Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team at Nurseplus. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our homecare services in East Sussex, supporting the Registered Manager in overseeing the care team and ensuring high standards of care are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Support the management of day-to-day operations, assisting the Registered Manager in coordinating and supervising the care team to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Client care planning and risk assessments, overseeing and participating in the development and review of care plans and assessments to ensure they are person-centred and tailored to individual needs.
- Team leadership and supervision, mentoring and developing staff, conducting supervisions, appraisals, and supporting the recruitment of new care staff.
- Quality assurance and compliance, ensuring compliance with all CQC regulations and internal quality standards, contributing to audits, incident reviews, and improvements in service delivery.
- Liaising with stakeholders, building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, their families, health professionals, and local authorities to ensure the best outcomes for those we support.
- On-call duties, participating in the on-call rota, offering out-of-hours support and ensuring continuity of care.
- Experience: Ideally 2 years of experience in a senior care role within the homecare or healthcare sector, with supervisory responsibilities.
- Qualifications: A minimum Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (or equivalent); Level 5 in Leadership and Management is desirable.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements within homecare services.
- Leadership skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and developing a team.
- Organisational skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities to ensure efficient operations and high standards of care.
- Commitment to quality care: A passion for delivering excellent care and promoting the dignity, independence, and well-being of service users.
- Flexibility: A full driving licence is required, as the ideal candidate will need to adapt to changing needs of the business and travel to various locations.
