Job Summary:

The position of Class 2 Day Driver involves making multi-drop palletised deliveries and collections to and from businesses and private addresses across the region. This role requires a high level of organisation and planning to ensure efficient route management and timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
  • Planning route on a day-to-day basis.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks on company-provided equipment.
  • Working closely with the transportation team for updates on progress and managing customer expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have a UK Class 2 (C) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
