Automotive Operations Manager

As a Workshop Controller at Listers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our workshop. You will be responsible for managing the workflow of all jobs to brand standard, liaising between Service Advisors and Technicians, and ensuring that all required work is actioned effectively and efficiently.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a dealership as either a Trainee Workshop Controller, Experienced Workshop Foreman or Experienced Workshop Controller. You will be an excellent communicator with strong leadership skills, able to motivate and direct a team of Technicians to achieve maximum productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the workflow of all jobs to brand standard.
- Manage a team of Technicians ensuring workflow through the workshop is done in an efficient and effective manner.
- Provide focused management to the service department team, to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Ensure processes are always adhered to.
- Conduct regular process reviews with your Aftersales Manager to identify operational issues / discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow up actions are taken to rectify.
- Manage the performance of the workshop to ensure that KPI targets are achieved.
- Manage and plan workshop / support resources to ensure that work requirements are fulfilled.
- Support the department team as required and ensure that all work is completed on time.
- Support the service department with specifications and coding of non-standard, complex jobs and ensure all such work is approved with customers prior to any work being started.
- Manage the handover of complex or potentially contentious jobs (invoices, claims) to ensure full buy-in and agreement from the customer (Retail or Internal).
