We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Paralegal to join our team in Stratford, London. As a key member of our Legal Services Directorate, you will play a vital role in facilitating the delivery of Criminal and Civil enforcement outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own caseload of administrative tasks concerning prosecution and civil cases from issue to closure.
  • Compile documentary evidence for service on courts, defense solicitors, and barristers.
  • Liaise with parties involved in criminal and civil casework to ensure cases are properly prepared and ready for trial.
  • Attend courts throughout England and Wales when required, providing support in the day-to-day administration of Crown Court trials or civil proceedings.
  • Update internal case management systems and document storage and management systems.
  • Support the wider team through collaborative work on cases to achieve key legal milestones.
  • Contribute to wider directorate and agency initiatives as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to self-manage, prioritize caseloads, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent IT skills and confidence in using the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player with strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.
  • Willingness to adapt to change and promote continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel to various court locations, potentially involving overnight stays.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including Disability Confident Scheme membership, Armed Forces Covenant commitment, and Off-Payroll Working in the Public Sector legislation compliance.
