Job Description

Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in Cambridge. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of construction and property-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a building surveyor on various projects, from inception to completion, liaising with team members and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Manage junior colleagues' work to ensure quality and timeliness of service provided to clients and act as the point of contact.
  • Manage your own workload and report to the team lead and office Partner on financial forecasting and progress of commissions.
  • Continuously improve your profitability by managing time and resources allocated to projects and ensuring that time spent on projects is recorded and fee invoicing is carried out at appropriate stages.
  • Attend site meetings to understand and clearly define clients' expectations, provide advice, keep them informed of progress, and make them aware of technical and financial implications.
  • Prepare and contribute to fee bids relevant to building surveying and multi-disciplinary projects.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Master's in Building Surveying.
  • 2 years PQE experience, ideally.
  • MRICS or MAPM qualified.
  • Varied project and sector experience.
