Progressive, a leading provider of technical talent, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team in Lisburn, County Antrim.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and CNC machining, with a proven track record of delivering design work packages and ensuring accurate bills of materials. The successful individual will also provide hands-on support for first article inspections and type testing, as well as participate in project calls to provide progress updates or seek clarifications.

We are looking for someone with a mechanical engineering degree, or a similar field, who has 5+ years of experience performing design activities in an industrial setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Experience with CAD applications such as Solidworks and AutoCAD is also required.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of customer technical specifications
  • Delivery of design work packages ranging from part modification to new part or assembly design
  • Ensure an accurate bill of materials is produced for each design
  • Provide hands-on support for first article inspections and type testing
  • Complete administrative tasks relevant to the engineering design process
  • Participate in project calls to provide progress updates or seek clarifications
