About the Role

The Senior Buyer/Commodity Manager will play a key role in managing procurement/sourcing activity in a high-value spend area, ensuring optimal value for money is achieved and key stakeholder relationships are managed effectively. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure Six Sigma projects are defined and implemented, and devise and implement appropriate commodity strategies for the short, medium, and long-term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement/sourcing activity in a high-value spend area
  • Ensure optimal value for money is achieved
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure Six Sigma projects are defined and implemented
  • Devise and implement appropriate commodity strategies
Requirements
  • Procurement experience in an automotive manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident at negotiation and influencing
  • CIPS qualified or partially qualified
  • Good ICT skills and able to pick up new systems quickly
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and team player with ability to meet deadlines effectively
