About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Solicitor to join our team at Ortus Group. As a Construction Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice to clients in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level client service and ensure that all matters are handled expeditiously and to a high professional standard.
  • Assist in the supervision of trainee solicitors and ensure that adequate training is undertaken to keep up to date with changes in the law.
  • Record and monitor time spent on matters and bill clients promptly.
  • Consolidate relationships with clients and actively seek to market the services of the department and the wider firm to clients and potential clients.
  • Attend networking events and initiate business development activities as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate competence in contentious and non-contentious construction law.
  • Produce competent advice promptly and within budget.
  • Deliver excellent client service at the highest level.
  • Become involved and assist in all matters, including billing and business development as well as fee-earning work.
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in business development and willingness to become involved in departmental marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrate the qualities of an enthusiastic team player.
