Product Safety Regulatory Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Safety Regulatory Advisor to join our team at Ashbury. As a key member of our Advisory Services Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' products are legally compliant and meet the highest standards of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regulatory advice to Ashbury and its clients, ensuring products are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Research and stay up-to-date with changes in the regulatory landscape, identifying potential risks and opportunities for our clients.
- Review and advise on changes to clients' policies, considering new regulations, guidance, and codes of practice.
- Manage client complaints and enforcement challenges, providing risk-based recommendations and supporting clients through product recalls and withdrawals.
- Liaise with government agencies, industry bodies, and laboratories to ensure compliance and provide expert advice.
- Deliver training on regulatory and technical topics to Ashbury and its clients, developing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Produce expert opinion content on subject matters, presenting findings internally and externally.
- Maintain and grow expertise in one or more subject areas, staying up-to-date with legal requirements and labelling policies.
Requirements:
- Degree-level educational qualification in product safety, consumer protection, or a related field.
- In-depth regulatory knowledge, including codes of practice, policies, guidance, and standards.
- Excellent understanding of legal requirements, challenges, and consumer trends relating to product information.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a regulatory role, with fluent spoken and written English and proficiency in one or more other languages.
- Demonstrable experience of independent working, risk-based decision making, and excellent communication skills.
