About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team at Nationwide Platforms. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting our fleet of powered access equipment across the North of England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload equipment in accordance with our safety procedures and use appropriate equipment.
  • Maintain the security of loads during transportation and delivery.
  • Hand over equipment to customers and provide training on its operation.
  • Conduct daily checks on vehicles and ancillary equipment.
  • Comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs, and working hours.
  • Respond to customer queries and relay information to depot staff as needed.
  • Represent Nationwide Platforms as an ambassador, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Accurately complete all relevant paperwork.
Requirements
  • HGV Class 1 license and full CPC card.
  • Flexibility to stay away from home for up to three nights per week, with accommodation provided.
  • Experience driving low-loader vehicles delivering plant or recovering vehicles is preferred, but full training can be provided.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and ability to demonstrate equipment to customers.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HGV vehicle safety and maintenance.
