Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications, including managing the process from inception to determination.
  • Conduct research on planning policy, local development plans, and other relevant documentation to inform project strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, including planning appraisals, design and access statements, and planning statements.
  • Support the management of projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in public consultations and community engagement activities.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in planning policy and legislation and assess the implications for current and future projects.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
  • A master's degree and/or RTPI accreditation (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a planning consultancy, local authority, or similar environment.
  • Good understanding of the UK planning system, including relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
