GSL Education is seeking an experienced English Teacher to join a dedicated and talented English department in a secondary school. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and engaging educator who is committed to the success of every pupil.

The successful candidate will help to prepare and implement the curriculum for students, with the goal of helping students develop confidence and proficiency in the subject. They will teach English lessons to both KS3 and KS4, using a range of different strategies to engage and develop areas which need improvement.

The role is suitable for Fully Qualified and Early Career Teachers who are looking to complete their induction year. The successful candidate will be a team player who is willing to contribute to the overall success of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement the curriculum for students
  • Teach English lessons to both KS3 and KS4
  • Use a range of different strategies to engage and develop areas which need improvement
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school

Requirements:

  • QTS or other UK recognised teaching qualification
  • Enthusiasm for teaching
  • Adaptability, creativity and resourcefulness in your approach to teaching
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high
