Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified and dedicated College Counsellor to join their team in Newtown. This is an excellent opportunity for both graduates and experienced professionals to work in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will provide guidance, support, and counselling services to children and young people, promoting their emotional well-being and academic success. The role involves working closely with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and group counselling sessions to students
• Develop and implement individualised plans to support student progress
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to address student needs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, education, or social work)
• Previous experience working with children and young people
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
• An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service

$45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience
