Workshop Team Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Controller to join our team at Halfords. As a Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Workshop team on a day-to-day basis and have supervisory responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate jobs to the Workshop team based on technical requirement and customer demand.
- Hold daily huddles, ensuring all colleagues are updated on commercial priorities and focused on exceeding customer expectations.
- Technically trained, this role inspires and mentors the Workshop team to develop their technical capabilities and has the flexibility to provide technical support to the team where demand requires it.
- Promote the Halfords Values and instil these in the team.

Requirements:
- Technically trained to Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance standard, or equivalent time served.
- Experience of managing/supervising a team/workshop to drive performance and delivery.
- Excellent customer approach - ability to communicate clearly and simply to customers.
- Experience of developing colleagues through delivery of technical training.
- Experience of exceeding customer metrics - working with management to support in driving key metrics and KPI's.
- Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety and quality.
- Experience of labour force scheduling, with proven time management skills.
- Must hold a current full valid driving licence.
