Risk Management Specialist for Construction Sectors

As a Health & Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our projects, particularly those involving Horizontal Drilling.

Job Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of delivering health and safety solutions in a fast-paced environment. You must also have extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation and standards, including those specific to Horizontal Drilling and utility installation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures for Horizontal Drilling operations.
  2. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
  3. Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  4. Provide expert guidance on risk management strategies, especially in relation to Horizontal Drilling activities.
  5. Deliver safety training and induction programs for new staff and subcontractors, ensuring the correct use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
  6. Advise senior management on health and safety performance, risk levels, and safety-related issues across the business.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry safety standards and legal requirements, ensuring the company stays compliant with all local and national regulations.
  8. Promote a proactive safety culture on all projects, encouraging the identification of hazards and fostering continuous improvement in safety practices.
  9. Manage the preparation of safety reports, incident reports, and compliance documentation for regulatory bodies and clients.
  10. Collaborate with project teams to develop and review safe work procedures and method statements, especially for complex Horizontal Drilling operations.

The estimated salary for this position is £70,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth and development.
