Teaching Assistant Role for Special Needs Children

Teaching Tomorrow Ltd is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in primary schools across Milton Keynes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in a primary school setting
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with special needs
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistency and continuity of support

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with special needs children as a teaching assistant
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special education Level 2 or above
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs
  • Ability to adapt to the individual needs and learning styles of students
