Job Title: Support Worker

This is a rewarding opportunity to work as a Support Worker in the Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire area, providing care and support to a gentleman in his 50s who lives at home with his wife and two children.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and caring individual to support the client with their daily needs, including medication administration, moving and handling, and personal care. The ideal candidate will have a strong ethical value base and be enthusiastic about assisting the client to live their life to the full and as independently as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Support the client with medication administration, moving and handling, and personal care
  • Assist the client with catheter care and the upkeep of their hydro pool
  • Accompany the client to appointments and social outings
  • Provide support with meal preparations and household tasks
Requirements
  • Previous care experience, preferably in a complex care setting
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure
  • Full UK driving licence, aged 30 years and over
  • Ability to work with dogs in the client's home
  • Effective organisation and record keeping skills
  • Commitment to long-term care for one client in a person-centred way
