Job Title: Litigation Fee Earner

Salary: Based on experience

Permanent (3 month probation)

Monday to Friday - 9:00am - 5:30pm

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a Litigation Fee Earner for our client in their landlord and tenant department.

The department prepares and advises on landlord and tenant litigation matters. Clients range from private landlords with a single property to large managing agents and insurance companies.

You will work for a busy landlord and tenant department together with 3 litigation fee earners (overseen by a solicitor) and 4 case handlers. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the day-to-day running of the department's caseload, including contentious and defended matters.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have paralegal/fee earning experience ideally within civil litigation (preferably in dispute resolution or landlord and tenant matters). However, our in-house training can effectively train Landlord and Tenant knowledge for any candidate without specific knowledge of L&T.

Key Responsibilities:

• Issue possession claims on the possession claims online system
• Complete paper applications for the court, including manual possession applications, accelerated applications, and warrant applications
• Assist with the day-to-day running of the department's caseload, including contentious and defended matters

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation procedures
• Confident to speak with clients and third parties over the phone
• Willingness to be creative and adapt to new situations
