Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Vocational Study Programme Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our students and staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Teaching and Learning
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessing in a designated vocational area, ensuring that students receive a consistent and engaging learning experience.
  • Prepare and develop teaching materials, schemes of work, and lesson plans to meet the needs of our students.
  • Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and staff.
Course Management
  • Manage day-to-day course activities, including communication, problem-solving, and administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate internal verification scheduling and liaise with relevant departments as required.
  • Ensure that all course-related documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Student Support
  • Visit students in their workplaces to monitor progress and set targets for skill development.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of suitable candidates for courses.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, including guidance and direction in academic and personal matters.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Monitor student attendance and results, including start-of-year registers and exam entry.
  • Report on attendance, retention, achievement, and success to inform course and student action plans.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Work with colleagues to develop courses, training methods, and materials.
  • Participate in peer observation and mentoring activities to support staff development.
  • Attend meetings and events as directed, reporting back to the team as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in vocational education and training.
  • Excellent teaching and learning skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
