We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our thriving Head Office Mortgage Underwriting Team at Progressive Building Society.

In this exciting new role, you will play a key part in helping our branches and brokers deliver a high-quality service that supports our ambitious growth plans.

As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will be responsible for handling multiple cases to expected standards in accordance with our Lending and mortgage-related policies, TMF principles, regulatory requirements, and FCA responsible lending best practice.

You will analyse applicant's credit history and financial information to assess eligibility, making mortgage eligibility judgements, approving or rejecting applications, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an individual with strong underwriting experience, excellent numeracy and Microsoft Office skills, who is detail-oriented and has good data accuracy.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years' mortgage underwriting experience and be able to work flexibly within a hybrid arrangement.
