Food Manufacturing Production Manager

The Food Manufacturing Production Manager will oversee the entire production process, ensuring that all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food production processes, and a commitment to quality and compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the production team to ensure the efficient and timely production of high-quality food products while meeting safety and quality standards.
- Take overall responsibility for quality, food safety, GMP and hygiene standards within production area.
- Be an active and contributing member of the site Q&FS Committee and HACCP team.
- Develop, implement, and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any product quality issues and ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
- Train, motivate, and develop production staff, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and fostering a positive work culture.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and finished goods.
- Manage equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime and ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, challenges, and resolutions to senior management.
- Ideally a LEAN focused background.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Significant experience in food manufacturing, with a focus on production management.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality assurance practices, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
Working hours: 37.5, but needs to be flexible to working outside of dayshifts.
