Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Paint Prepper with excellent attention to detail to join our client's team. As a Paint Preparation Operative, you'll be responsible for preparing fabricated parts for wet painting, including drilling, fettling, filling, sanding, shot blasting, sealing, washing, cleaning, degreasing, and masking of components.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare fabricated parts for wet painting, adhering to strict quality control standards
- Use power tools for drilling, grinding, and sanding component surfaces
- Mask threads and bores to protect from shot blast damage and paint ingress
- Handle components through blast equipment and washing equipment to achieve a high cleanliness level
- Hang components efficiently for priming, painting, and baking
- Unload and pack components for delivery to production areas and stores
- Monitor blast profiles daily
- Perform daily cleaning of prep lines and prep bays
- Maintain PPE issued and ensure it's kept in good condition
- Clean and perform regular preventative maintenance tasks on shot blast equipment
- Complete 5s and housekeeping duties daily and weekly

Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to visually inspect each component
- Ability to work to high-quality standards
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Good time management skills

Working Hours and Overtime
This full-time role requires flexible working hours, with options for either 06:30 to 15:30 or 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and either 06:30 to 11:30 or 07:30 to 15:30 on Fridays. Overtime will be available as needed.
