We are seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV driver to work from our site in Biddulph. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out driving and related duties involved with the carriage of goods to and from ASD client locations. The hours of work are 6am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

The role involves:
  1. Carrying out driving and related duties involved with the carriage of goods to and from ASD client locations.
  2. Oversight of the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises, ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed and returned without delay.
  3. Checking the load security and weight distribution according to latest safe working practices before setting out and after each drop.
  4. Operating mobile equipment to load and/or unload vehicles, as required and appropriately trained.
  5. Following best practices for fuel-efficient driving.
  6. Participating in Ten Commandments continuous improvement activities (TPM, 5S, etc).
  7. Actively taking responsibility for keeping vehicle clean and tidy.
  8. Identifying potential health and safety hazards in the workplace.
  9. Ensuring vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, and operated in a safe manner.

Requirements and Qualifications
We require an experienced HGV driver who has worked in warehousing or distribution business. The ideal candidate should have full DCPC, a flexible attitude, and good communication skills. They must be able to read written instructions and record accurately work carried out. Understanding and experience of EHS requirements, in a warehouse or distribution environment, is also desirable.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is around £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
